Careers & Jobs – Quebec lost a surprising 33,000 manufacturing jobs last month, raising fears that the bulwark of its economy is in long-term decline because of lagging productivity and private-sector investment.
What all this means is--We should start buying things made in your own country by your neighbors..not third world cheap, scab labor...Then boycott all companys that have moved thier production overseas..to avoid local wage scales..It will be to our advantge to pay a little more, and keep our jobs here..IMPEACH --BUSH-CHENY-PELOSI, AND GONZALAS--NOW...
I have already begun a personal boycott of things made in Canada, and I encourage every citizen of the US to join me.
Further, I look assiduously for comparable products made in USA rather than just buying what's on the shelf. But sometimes it's difficult--even Tommy Hilfiger's trademark red-white-and-blue fashions are made in China.
So much of our manufacturing has been closed down that we cannot not even maintain our military without importing uniforms and equipment from our potential enemies.
In what way am I going too far? Is it because the US Army now imports uniforms, tents, cooking equipment, and other supplies from the People's Republic of China? Or is it because I have observed that Canadians are perfectly willing to be parasitic economic and cultural dependents of the US, but are unwilling to accept responsibility for their own decisions?
