I think people tend to "disperse" their energy in many directions instead of focusing on a few most important things - this is why many of us never really achieve our goals.

That's a good observation. I read a book a long time ago called, "You can have anything you want, you just can't have everything you want", which pointed out the need for deciding what one wants and focusing one's energy on obtaining it.

BTW: In reality in the USA only 5% of the people are TRULY sucesssful, that is have what is known as "The American Dream". This is what the main stream media and America is hiding. Therfore, 95% of the Amercian people that do not have the "The American Dream" are truly "American Screwed" and are really USA slaves that end up paying our taxes and making the government "wealthy" and the 5% elite very, very wealthy and happy. For that succesful 5% the USA is TRULY, "GODS Country" of CAPITALISM success and money fortune. And poor "HELL Country" for the other 95% USA tax paying slaves also known as the USA "SUCKERS" group that make up a vast majority of this countries population.

Perhaps your definition of "truly successful" is not the same as everyone else's.

I read it. It's a bunch of bunk.

Changing your attitude isn't going to keep yourself from starving if you are a peasant in Burma.

Reinventing yourself won't help you achieve your goals if you can't get a loan b/c you have bad credit b/c you were sick for 4 months with Breast Cancer.

Having a positive attitude won't stop the military government from throwing you in jail while pursuing your goal of equality in Uzbekistan.

The author forgot about that. So I'll summarize.

If you want to achieve your goals, be prepared because the rich are going to stop you every step of the way.

Unrealistic goals most of the time, but the percentage of successful Americans is very high. At some point, they modify goals to a realistic level and succeed.

Bill Gates didn't start his business to make $50 billion dollars. That would have been an absurd goal.

Instead he created something the world decided was valuable and that carried him to where he is at now.

Now his goal is to give it away.

Because the other 96% are morons who voted for Bush in 2004.

I believe success is based on what makes you happy. I'm sure many successful folks are unhappy with their jobs, their personal life, their choices etc.

There are a lot of people not reaching their goals because they are spending so much time on sites like this telling other people what to do.

P>S> before you throw this back at me - I've already achieved & this is only a diversion
