This is so absurd, I can't beleive it. How are inner city kids going to afford a computer when their parents are scrounging to have enough food to put on table. If every child could afford one it's not a bad idea. I think we should be more concerned about why we no longer are emphasizing the 3 'R's. That old fashioned teaching turned out some mighty successful people. We have to realize that it is far more important for Johnny to learn the three R's than it is to be concerned about his emotional state because he flunked 3rd grade.

It's not just inner-city kids starving these days.
I'm with you, though. There's nothing quite as important as a basic education and nothing quite as cheap as using books to provide one.
